Website information
Privacy policy
This notice explains how Get a Sparky handles personal data when you visit this website or contact us about events, education or robot purchases. Last updated 23 September 2026.
Who is responsible
Get a Sparky is brought to Cyprus by the Frontier Technology Partners team. The operator of the service is the data controller for the activities described here. You can contact us at contact@get-sparky.com or +357 99813796.
What we collect and why
When you visit, our web server records the IP address, date and time, requested URL (including any campaign parameters), HTTP status, referring page and browser/user-agent string. We use these logs to deliver and secure the site, diagnose faults and measure aggregate traffic from our printed QR codes, including the one on Sparky and the one on the shirt. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating, protecting and understanding use of the site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). QR reports count requests and estimate distinct IP/browser combinations only within the available logs; they do not identify named visitors or create a profile.
If you email or message us, we receive the contact details, message and any event or school information you choose to share. We use it to reply, prepare a proposal and, if you proceed, manage the service. The basis is steps requested before a contract or performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)); for general enquiries and business contacts it is our legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f)). Please do not send children’s names, photos or sensitive information through an initial enquiry.
We do not operate an on-site contact form, customer account, newsletter, payment facility, behavioural advertising or automated decision-making on this website. We do not sell visitor data.
Event photos and videos
Our Events gallery may show photographs or videos from events, including attendees. We use this media to present our event services. Where a person is identifiable, we publish the media only when we have an appropriate lawful basis and any permissions required for the circumstances; we take particular care with images of children. If you or a child in your care appears in gallery media, contact contact@get-sparky.com to raise a privacy concern or request removal. We will review the request and respond in light of applicable data-protection rights.
Who may receive data
Our website host and email provider may process the information needed to provide those services. Team members handling enquiries can see correspondence. We may disclose data when law requires it or when necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
WhatsApp opens only when you choose its link. Your visit and message on WhatsApp are then handled by WhatsApp/Meta under its own privacy terms; please check those terms before sending a message. We do not embed WhatsApp tracking code on this website.
International transfers and retention
Some communications or service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where we make a restricted transfer, we must use an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. Contact us for the safeguards relevant to your data.
The server’s access logs normally remain available for about two weeks under the current log-rotation schedule. QR reports are produced from those logs and show aggregate counts, not raw IP addresses. We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer it and to manage any resulting service, legal or accounting obligations; correspondence that does not lead to a booking should normally be deleted or anonymised within 12 months of the last meaningful contact. Legal claims or statutory record-keeping may require a longer period.
Your choices and rights
You may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Contact contact@get-sparky.com to make a request. You can also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus at dataprotection.gov.cy; you may contact us first if you would like us to resolve a concern.
You do not have to send us an enquiry, but without enough contact and event information we may be unable to respond or prepare a proposal. We may update this notice when our website or practices change and will show the new date here.
